Monaco's palace was built in 1911. It was originally a fortress built by Genoans. During its long history, it experienced numerous external sieges and artillery fires. Half of the palace is the private residence and office of the Royal family, and the other half is the museum. Part of the museum is open to visitors. We didn't go inside and we couldn't imagine the luxury of the palace from the outside. But the view of the Palace Square and its surroundings is still very good.
