The Palace of Munich, the former Bavarian monarch's palace, is located in the centre of Munich, Germany. It consists of ten courtyards and museums, with 130 exhibition rooms displaying its architecture, interior decoration and Royal collection. From 1385 to 1918, the palace has been a family building of Bavarian rulers, from which we can see the development of more than 500 years'architectural history. The main parts are the King's Palace (K&_6; nigsbau) near Max-Joseph Square, the Old Palace (Alte Residenz) facing the Royal Palace Street, the Festsaalbau facing the Royal Palace Garden, the Altes Residenztheater, the Schatzkar and so on. In addition to the palace itself, the Palace Museum has more than 100 rooms with numerous treasures and works of art, including mobile altars, the Queen of Hungary's Golden Cross, chicken blood stone sculptured cups, and handicrafts from Turkey, Iran, Mexico and India. At the same time, there are also treasure halls in the palace, displaying various royal exhibits such as jewelry, crowns and gold ornaments.
