The most famous interstate in American history, crossing eight states, passing through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, three time zones, The length is 2,450 miles, or 3,943 kilometers, and the opening time is from November 11, 1926 to June 27, 1985. Michael Wallis, a scholar who studies Route 66, said: "Route 66 is like a mirror to the American nation, and it symbolizes the hard journey of the great American people."
