Royal Palace of Caserta Review

The Royal Palace of Caserta represent one of the most important examples of neoclassical architecture. It was built between the second half of the 18th and the first half of the 19th centuries by the architect Van Vittel and completed by his own son years later. The palace was committed by king Charles Bourbon of Spain, whose Kingdom at the time was one of the most powerful, vast and wealthy of Europe. The palace reflects this image of imponence and sunctuosity. The gardens are also magnificent with their fountains, statues, cascades and woods. Highly recommended a visit if you fly to Naples.
