Italy, Venice. St. Mark's Cathedral (2). St. Mark's Cathedral, consisting of five huge dome halls and two corridor-style lobbies, forms a huge Greek cross with a distinct Byzantine style. There are five diamond-shaped Roman gates to the west of the church, with Oriental and Gothic spires at the top, and a statue of St. Mark holding the Gospel of Mark at the top of the spire at the middle gate. The center of the church under the central dome is the lofty main hall and the bulging inner hall. In the center of the inner hall is a huge Greek marble called sea stone. The inner decoration of the church is mosaic with golden color.



There was confusion with the online instructions and an almost impossible to find address to redeem your voucher for your ticket...instructions stated you had to go to a different place first before the meeting spot when in fact both places were the same. We wasted a lot of time trying to find it and it turned out completely unnecessary.However, I would still recommend this tour. It was great to have access after hours. Such an incredible place to tour!
