The ancient ruins of Salamis are located on the eastern coast of Cyprus, and according to Homer's epic record, after the Trojan War of the 12th century BC, the Greek archer Tauser came to the eastern shore of the island of Cyprus to build the town. The Roman period Salamis reached its peak, and the trade in goods expanded to surrounding countries and regions, known as the Great Eastern Mall. After the invasion of the Arabs in the seventh century, Salamis fell into ruins. The rows of remnants of Roman columns and semicircular ancient Roman theaters witness the most glorious history of that period.
