禁猎区生长着一种叫“米翁博”的树。这种树抗燃能力强，在历经火灾之后能顽强地生存下来，是这个地区的主要植被。禁猎区内主要有两种植被类型：东部地区（17[%]）主要是林荫草地，西部地区（约75[%]）则是落叶林地，包括短盖属、紫檀属等植物以及被认为其植被类型只能在高温中得以保持的风车子属植物。还有一部分地区分布有茂密的灌木丛以及由河床和地下水浇灌的森林。据记载禁猎区内至少有2000多种植物，但是在南部边远的森林里有可能发现更多的植物种类。

禁猎区海拔高度从东北100米至西南1200米不等；也是塞卢斯生态系统的一部分，塞卢斯生态系统包括米库米国家公园和基隆贝罗河谷狩猎控制区。禁猎区向鲁菲吉河及其卢韦古河、基隆贝罗河、大鲁阿哈河、卢洪贝罗河和姆巴兰甘杜（唯一一条永久性河流）等支流排水。
