Shenzhen Museum was established in 1981, and there are currently 4 museum sites of historical folk museums, ancient art museums, Dongjiang guerrilla commands and Shenzhen Reform and Opening Exhibition Hall. The building area is more than 60,000 square meters. It is a collection of collections, protection, research, display, Education as a large-scale general branch museum, national-level museum, national red tourism classic scenic spot and national social science popularization base. 1. The ancient art museum is located on the north side of Shennan Avenue. In 1982, the foundation was established and listed as one of the eight cultural facilities in Shenzhen, with key construction. The building was built in November 1988. It covers an area of 3.7 million square meters, the total construction area of 1.84 million square meters, and the construction area of the exhibition building is 8,000 square meters. The museum was hailed as the most modern museum in the country in the 1980s, winning the "Second Prize in the Design of Public Cultural Facilities" and being named "Shenzhen's top ten historic buildings for reform and opening up". The ancient art museum mainly displays ancient Chinese art related cultural relics, is the collection, research, display and education center of ancient art relics in Shenzhen. 2. The historical folk museum is located in Area A of Shenzhen Civic Center. Construction land 1.25 10,000 square meters, construction area 3.36 10,000 square meters, completed in December 2008. The exhibition building has 3 floors, including 5 basic displays and 2 special exhibition halls, and the exhibition area is more than 10,000 square meters. The basement floor is a cultural relics warehouse. In addition, the exhibition building has also built multi-functional reporting hall, VIP hall, tea house, souvenir shop and other supporting service facilities. 3. The former site of Dongjiang Guerrilla Command is located at No. 13 Nanqing Street, Luohu District, covering an area of 240 square meters and a construction area of 794 square meters. The former site is a Shenzhen-level cultural relics protection unit, which was placed under the management of the Shenzhen Museum in 2012, and was completed and opened to the public in December 2017. 4. Shenzhen Reform and Opening Exhibition Hall is located at No. 184 Fuzhong Road, Futian District (Fourth and Fifth Floors, South District, Shenzhen Contemporary Art and Urban Planning Museum), with an exhibition area of 6300 square meters and will be open to the public from November 8, 2018.
