Shuice Stela Review

On the way from Yuehu Park to Drum Tower, we found the water stele on the side of the road, which is still part of the Grand Canal, a key cultural relics protection unit in the country. After checking the data, we learned that the water stele is the stone stele that measures the water level.

Water monument monument Zhejiang's oldest water level station. It seems that the water gate was opened and closed at the timing that the water was on the horizontal bar of the flat in the Ningbo part of the large canal which became the world heritage. It is quite clever to use a flat letter.

Shuizhibei is located at Pingqiao Street on the west side of Zhenming Road, Haishu District, Ningbo City. Its north side is Drum Tower and south side is Moon Lake. Shui Ze Stele was built in Song Baoyou (1253 1258). It was renewed in Ming and Qing dynasties. Now most of the stone pavilions were built in Qingdaoguang. In 1999, after being rebuilt, Pingqiao River was restored to connect with Yuehu River system. Shuizhibei uses the principle of level water to realize the purpose of observing the disaster situation and unified dispatching of the people's conditions. It is the only example in the ancient urban water resources relics of our country. It is of special significance to study the history of water resources development and the rare physical examples of urban waterlogging and flood control projects.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal has built a stele pavilion to monitor the water level. Because of the rising water level, the foundation of the stele has been submerged. It is on the side of Yuehu Lake and can be seen by the roadside. It feels that there are many historical and cultural relics in Ningbo, which can be seen everywhere, and all kinds of houses are only the level of protection at the district level.
