Ruiguyi Pagoda Temple is a Buddhist building in the middle of Bagan, built in 1140 during the reign of Aron Sidu king, Ruigu means "Golden Cave", because it is very close to the ancient palace, known as the pagoda in front of the palace. The tower was built on the base of the brick tower of 3.6 meters high. It is legendary that this is the king's endurance that caused a huge brick to rise out of the ground to form the tower temple. According to historical records, the king was taken out of the palace by his son when he was old and moved to the tower temple, and was later taken into custody. Four Buddha statues and two inscriptions remain in the temple. On the viewing platform of the temple, you can view the nearby temple group.
