this is an amazing old part of the city and definitely a must see on your trip to Tunis . full of small handicraft shops and souvenirs, small places to eat ( must try the local version of fried dough with sugar ). you walk through this gallery of old buildings all in white with blue ornaments set on a hillside with beautiful trees and flowers . on the top of the hill there is the amazing coffeehouse built into the clog with views over the ocean. I loved this place and the atmosphere.

Today's itinerary of Tunisian Impression Blue and White Town is: The blue and white town and Carthage Site Hotel are next to the light rail station. After breakfast, I will go to buy tickets. 0.7A ticket for dinar is so cheap that I am surprised. Of course, the light rail is the Tunis people's city bus, in the morning when we go to the blue and white town, the carriages are empty, no one, but at 5 p.m. when we see the Carthage site back to Tunis, but it is full, we have to squeeze into the carriages, A close encounter with the Tunisian people, known as SIDI BOU SAID, is the North African town in the northeastern Tunisian capital, Sidibsai. It is called "blue and white town" because it is located on the Mediterranean cliffs, all houses are only two colors, white walls, blue doors and windows. So simple, but so beautiful. The town was winding up the hills, with a simple layout, a cobbled street, shiny white houses on either side in the sun, and alleyways sticking out of the house. The houses are only two or three stories high, the most interesting feeling in fairy tales, is the white wall inlaid with blue iron windows and blue wooden doors. The dome on the top half of the wooden door represents the mosque's architecture, and the blue copper nails on the door combine stars and moon, as well as bows and arrows, flowers and other Islamic designs, gorgeous and exquisite. The blue and white houses built the town. Standing at the top of town, will find that the terrain is really dangerous, really sea cliffs. Perhaps because of the blue and white, all the steepness, all the smooth spread. "It is said that the reason why the houses here choose white is mainly for life, because the Mediterranean coast has a hot summer climate, and the white has the characteristics of non-heat absorption and easy to dissipate, so that the external walls of the houses can be painted to keep the interior cool, plus the lime," So it's natural to choose white. Perhaps, just selling blue paint and white lime here, can make life free. In fact, such a stunning combination of blue and white is not unusual in other parts of the Mediterranean coast, but the Tunisian love of life, the special respect for human nature, made the "blue and white town" into a unique existence in the world. Objective Comment: The place called "Blue City" on earth, I actually went to Jodhpur, India, Shevshawan, Morocco, Tunisia blue and white town, in fact, not as famous as their thunderous, but after the experience, it is different: Tunisia blue and white town, Wonderful is on the Mediterranean side. The only prerequisite for going to the blue and white town is that the weather is beautiful. We just got there in a cloudy and unmoved mood to take pictures. Later the sun came out, that is called a beautiful!
