South Church (Zuiderkerk) Review

South Church is also a famous church in Amsterdam. When I went there, it was being repaired and constructed. The Southern Church, built between 1603 and 1611, was the first Protestant Church in Amsterdam. The church is not far from the Old City Gate and the Rembrandt House. Several of Rembrandt's children and one of his students, Ferdinand Bohr, are also buried in the church. Others say that Rembrandt's night tour was painted in this church because his studio is not big enough, but this statement is not credible. In 1874, the French Impressionist painter Claude Monet painted the church when he came to Amsterdam. The construction of the church can not see the appearance, and the picture of the exhibition board at the entrance can also see a rough picture. During World War II, because there were so many dead people, it was used as a temporary morgue, but it was never used as a church. The main functions are the city's tourist center and some exhibitions.
