The Shufen Mountains on the outskirts of Melbourne were famous for gold hunting more than 100 years ago. Gold seekers from all over the world gathered here, and over time formed the town of Balarrette Gold Rush. It's completely the same as it was more than 100 years ago. You can also visit the Gold Museum here to learn about the situation during the gold rush.

Exciting life time experience of mines tour. Many educative demonstrations on wheel making. Horse cart rides. Gold pour experience is just amazing.

The school teacher who also plays the coffee seller is lovely. The policeman is a proper funny character. The bars sell real beer. Just brilliant all round fun and entertainment.

It was a worth experience for the price paid, casual walking around with street acts and you can even sieve your own gold for free! Can watch Candy making sessions, explosion bombs and more but do take note that each session has different timings so plan your visit to catch all of them. Perfect for families, overall an interesting experience even for a couple like us.
