From the south of Sudi, the south of the Nanping Mountains, to the north to the Qixia Mountains, the whole length is nearly three kilometers. It is a great poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, Su Dongpo, when he was in Zhizhou, Hangzhou, dredged the West Lake and built it with the mud dug out. The descendants named it Sudi in order to commemorate the achievements of Su Dongpo's management of the West Lake. Long dike sleeper waves, connecting the south mountain north mountain, to the West Lake added a charming scenery.
