The Grand Palace of Hue is placed on both sides of the square in front of Hue Palace. During the reign of Vietnam's Jialong Emperor, nine artillery pieces were completed in a full year on January 31, 1803. The reason it took a year was because the construction works were arranged in four different seasons, reflecting the five elements of China's thinking of gold wood water and fire, indicating the supernatural ability to protect the palace.
