Helsinki, Finland. The National Theatre of Finland is not the National Opera of Finland. The National Theatre of Finland was built in 1872 and is located in the city center, north of Helsinki Central Railway Station. In front of the theater is a bronze statue of Alexis Kiwi, Finland's most distinguished Romantic playwright and novelist, whose hands are on his legs, gaze down the slope, and ponder.
