The Old Supreme Court is a stately building in the heart of the city. It was built in 1939 and it seems the architect got his inspiration from the Old Bailey Courthouse in London. The building has a central dome backing the classical facade supported by Corinthian columns and the tympaneum was created by a Milanese sculptor and carved out of gypsum plaster.Inside the court, visit the Rotunda Library, Chief Justices Chambers and of course the many artworks that are now displayed there since it re-opened as the National Gallery of Singapore The nearest train station is City Hall.
