Wu Lijiang, anciently known as Songjiang or Wujiang, also known as Songling River, Heze River[1], the tributary of the Yangtze River Huangpu River, and the Dongjiang River and Lijiang River are collectively known as the "Taihu Three Rivers". It originated from the Taihu Guayukou, south of Songling Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City. It is from west to east, through the Jiangnan Canal, and enters the Huangpu River east of the Baidu Bridge outside the north side of Huangpu Park in Shanghai.[2] The total length is 125 kilometers, the average river width is about 40 to 50 meters, and the total basin area is 855 square kilometers. [2] The Wuxu River flows through the Wujiang River, Suzhou, Kunshan, Jiading, Qingpu and Shanghai. The upper reaches of the Wuxu River are known as the Wuxu River by the people, and the east of the Wuxu River is the lower reaches of the Wuxu River, which is known as the Suzhou River after entering the Shanghai area. Wu's river was originally Nahuangpu River, Ming Longqing three years (1569), the patrol Hairui presided over the dredging of the Wu's river, the lower reaches of the Wu's river completely changed into the present road, from the Waibaidu Bridge into the Huangpu River, become a tributary of the Huangpu River.[21] Wu's river is an important shipping hub in Wudi. The Suzhou River spawned almost half of ancient Shanghai, and then spent another 100 years building the water framework of the international metropolis Shanghai. Wuxu River is the main water transportation line and important waterway in Shanghai and Suzhou in the southern region of the Yangtze River. With the benefits of shipping, irrigation, flood discharge and drainage, it can pass 60 ~ 100-ton vessels. It is an important inland river channel between Shanghai and Taihu Basin. The annual cargo volume is more than 17 million tons, and the irrigated farmland in the middle and upper reaches is more than 20,000 hectares.
