Tambomachay Review

This is a famous attraction that has been left over from the ancient Inca period. The surrounding scenery is very good. The scenery along the way is particularly powerful. You can see many large and small attractions and buildings.

We walked to the 4 ruins of Tambomachay to Pukapukara, Q’engo and lastly to Sacsayhuaman. We caught a taxi to Tambomachay and then walked down along the 8 kms of road to Cusco. There were just 2 of us and a few other random walkers at times and it was safe along the road. We stepped off the road at times to accommodate passing traffic. It was one of the highlights of our trip. It was an easy walk because it was downhill (hence the taxi trip on the upward climb) despite some rain. We used a Cusco Tourist Card for entry to the sites and this card included other sites to visit as well. We passed farms, fields, animals , small villages and stores selling woollen goods etc. it was a pleasant way to just take in the local surrounds and beautiful ruins both small and large. We took a taxi to visit nearby attractions in Cusco, Peru, first to the farthest Tambomachy, also the stone wall plus some spring water, win in the small number of people, very quiet, after watching it for half an hour. But there is no taxi out, so ask people how to take the bus. The bus stop was on the side of the road, and it just happened to catch one. The passengers were the three of us, counted the special car, and took the waiter to help us take pictures. The three people happily took a while and got off the bus and went to the second attraction Pucapucara.

We visited several Inca sites today, Tambomachay was one of them. This site serves as an Inca level retreat/spa and we can only see it from the service road, I don’t know if there is more to see. It looked calm, its water flowing through the rocks.

Similar to an entertainment city, the surrounding environment is very good, surrounded by trees, lush, fully equipped entertainment facilities, you can stay here for a day, very lively
