The open-air market is located between Gaya Street and the city park. When there are no vendors selling at the market, this is a wide and quiet street. When there is a market, it is particularly lively and you can taste local specialties.

Open-air markets are quite common in Malaysia, especially in East Malaysia. There are mainly small stalls where locals sell food or local products. The price is basically cheaper than the supermarket and fresh, and the selection is good.

The open-air market is interesting. It's a local people's market.
