From the pier, directly opposite is an old castle - the new fort. The first king of Naples ordered the construction of the new fort. Now the first floor is a museum. It is charged for tickets. We did not enter the museum. From the new fort, through an alley, you will arrive at the San Carlo Theatre, the oldest still in use in Europe, and you need to book online in advance if you want to see the show. Opposite the theater is the Umberto Promenade. We met a couple of new people on the promenade, their relatives dressed up to celebrate them on the edge. We took the liberty to ask if we could take a photo with the children, they warmly agreed, their cameraman also invited us all to take pictures together, for them, there is a large group of foreigners like us to attend their wedding, they are also very happy!
