The Church of St. Vasily, or Prayer Church of Vasily, is a multi-domed church located in Red Square in Moscow, and is often seen as a symbol of Russia's unique position between Europe and Asia. The church was commissioned by Ivan IV and built between 1555 and 1561 to commemorate his conquest of the Khan.

The Basilica of St. Vassili is a combination of nine towers, and on the high base stands eight colorful towers, full of shapes, clustered around the central tower. The main entrances of the eight towers all face the cloisters in the central church, so you can see the whole view of the church from any door. The nine large onion-like domes are most impressive, each dome is set with a cross, highlighting its character as a church, the top cross and the shaving board are copper platinum, covering the dome with copper thickness of about one millimetre and weight of about 30 tons, The Russian government spent a lot of money on repairs.
