Jianshan is the third mountain in the Langwushan family in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. The mountain is87.33 meters high. Because the shape of the mountain is like a sword that is out of the sheath, it is also called Jianji Mountain; because the peak is like a knife blade, it is also called the knife blade mountain. Among the Wolf Five Mountains, the other four mountains are vertical, but only Jianshan is horizontal. The origin of the name of Jianshan is the most widely circulated because more than 2,000 years ago, Qin Shihuang tried the sword in this mountain. Jianshan is the Daochang of Wenshu Bodhisattva in Nantong. The Buddha Manshu is the incarnation of wisdom, knowledge, also known as "Dazhi Wenshu", is the left-servant of Buddha Sakyamuni. The worship of Wenshu Bodhisattva has become a psychological sustenance for the success of the exams for students today. Since the re-establishment of Wenshu Monastery in 2000, many students near the college entrance examination and high school entrance examination and their parents come to burn incense and make a wish to get a good mood. Nantong is a famous education town in the country, and the admission rate for the college entrance examination has been among the highest in Jiangsu Province. Today's Wenshu Monastery is not limited to the college entrance examination, before and after the high school entrance examination, but is full of incense all year round. Of course, to achieve good results, it is not possible to burn incense alone, the key is to study hard and work hard in normal times, otherwise Bodhisattva can not help. Buddhism believes that the pursuit of knowledge and liberation of truth can only be achieved through wisdom. So, we worship Wenshu, is to pray for wisdom, to achieve our wishes and goals.
