Pattaya is a coastal city on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 100 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. Tourism accounts for more than 70 of Pattaya's total revenue. The center of tourism is its beach. Pattaya Beach runs parallel to the city center, extending from the south of Pattaya Nue to the pedestrian street, about2.7 kilometers long. At the corner of Pattaya South Road, Chaiwang Temple (วัดชัยมงคล) is Pattaya's oldest and main Buddhist temple. Located in the heart of the city, overlooking Pattaya Beach, there is one of Thailand's largest commercial shopping centers. The shopping center has a 200,000 square meter retail desk on the 7th floor. It has more than 370 retail stores, including recreation centers.
