Uchisar Castle Review

Cappadocia is well known for its unique desert landscape and cave dwellings, known as fairy chimneys, which used to be homes many centuries ago.The finest example of a historic cave home is the Uchisar Castle. This beautiful and historic castle is located in the town of Uchisar, in the Goreme Area of Cappadocia, Turkey.The castle is built on a hilltop overlooking the town and the surrounding desert landscape and is the highest point in Cappadocia. Many people visit the castle not just for its history but for its panoramic views of the region, which on a clear day, shows Mount Erciyes in the distance. An attraction on the periphery of the Goreme National Park, in the middle of a town, connected to the surrounding buildings, was like a large dune, full of small holes, like ants built.

The Uchisa Fortress is a well-known attraction in the open air museum of Goreme, the guide has highlighted it, but I forgot the guide words, but the landform of Goreme is really unique and unforgettable

An ancient mountain fortress quite close to Goreme. Very popular, so gets quite busy, mostly with local tourists. Can get extremely cold and icy in winter, so come prepared.

A fortress carved on a huge stone, pigeon holes in the mountains, long ago people used pigeon manure as fertilizer for vineyards. The caves inside the fortress had large settlers early, enough for them to store food and resist another invader. After years of precipitation, it has become a beautiful landscape.

Going back and forth when it snows, it's very beautiful. I have to go back for sure.
