#Smoke is still beautiful #Balkan Discipline No.31 - Croatia Zagreb Upper City Zagreb, this historical city of Central Europe, located in the northwest of Croatia, located on the west bank of the Sava River. Zagreb consists of three parts: the first is the upper city of churches, city halls and other ancient buildings; the second is the lower city of squares, commercial areas, opera houses, and the third is the modern urban area developed after World War II. The center of the upper city is the Governor's Square of Yelaić, which houses numerous government agencies, banks and commercial offices, and stands in the center of the square a giant sculpture of the Croatian national hero Ben Joseph Yelaić. Around the square there are many 18th and 19th century baroque buildings. Crossing the square is Ilica Avenue, which houses many shops and large supermarkets and is the main commercial street in Zagreb. Visually, the architecture of the upper city is mixed with the hard skeletons of Austro-Hungarian characteristics, the exquisite details of Baroque architecture, and even the rough features of the she/hui/main/yi period. Sometimes it feels like such styles are difficult to integrate, but they are still harmoniously symbiotic and complementary in Zagreb. This is still very interesting.
