Victoria Falls Bridge is a bridge connecting the canyon downstream of Victoria Falls. On both sides of the bridge are Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) in Zimbabwe and Livingstone Zambia in Zambia. The bridge itself is part of the British government's plan to build the Cape Town-Cairo Railway. But the plan has not been finalized. It is said that only the Congo Railway today was built to Victoria Falls in 1904, so the bridge began construction. All the bridge components were made in the UK, shipped to Bella Port, Mozambique, and then transported here by new railways. It took 14 months to complete in September 1905. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor George Darwin, the nephew of the biologist Darwin. The bridge is 198 meters long and 120 meters high. It functions as a combination of railways, highways and pedestrians. There are two lines in the middle of the bridge between the governments of Zimbabwe and Zambia. The two governments established entry ports on both sides of the bridge. Inside the line near Zambia, there are bungee jumping points. If you have enough courage and spend tens of dollars, you can jump off the 111-meter bridge. Although it's not the biggest bungee jumping spot in the world, it's a thrilling victory.
