Visit the world's third largest sleeping Buddha Come to Thailand's bustling city of Hat Yai, and visit with your wife Hat Yai Yue Temple, which is known as the world's third largest sleeping Buddha. This peaceful temple is not far from the city center. From the empty tower bridge, you can easily see the temple on the right side of the bridge. After passing the bridge, you can cross the road to reach the temple. Apart from the main "Holy Day" of Thai Buddhists, it is very busy, and believers and tourists from all over the world gather here. The main statue is a giant reclining Buddha, said to be one of the three largest Buddha statues in the world. There are also smaller statues that are also inspired. The reclining Buddha is very large and the sleeping Buddha is placed in a room. The architectural design is unique, and you stand near the statue, like the giant Buddha looking down at the dwarf. I have seen many sleeping Buddhas in the Sukhothai Historical Park, Penang, in Kota Baru, but the sleeping Buddha here is unique and the atmosphere is friendly and quiet. Behind the statue is a sacred building where you can get the blessing of the Temple abbot. If you want to spend some time meditation, there is a good place, but you have to tell your driver to let him wait a little longer. There are also flowers and small fish for sale, flowers are for the Buddha, small fish are to be released, compassionate friends can try. We only spent about half an hour visiting the temple, except for the courtyard door passing through a wet market, where many local fruits are sold. I bought a bunch of bananas at one of the fruit stalls and spent about 30 baht to enjoy with my wife. The bananas are cheap, nutritious and sweet, providing us with instant energy so that I can keep walking. Tips:1. As this is the temple area, it is recommended that you dress appropriately. 2. The price of the train station to Hat Yai-yue Temple is 50 baht.
