Lanka Temple is one of the five oldest temples in Phnom Penh, located in the southwest of the Independent Monument. Built by King Ponhea Yat (1405-1467). The earliest functions were Khmer and Sri Lankan monks'learning and conference centers. After being seriously destroyed in the Khmer Rouge era, it was rebuilt in 1882 to vividly reproduce the frescoes and bright ground of the Buddha's image. Buddhist holy places, or very characteristic!

Today is a full moon and is all Day of Vesak. One of the oldest wats founded in 1440, many Khmer visit to listen to Busdhisy teachings. Slippers are left outside by some to show their reverence.

Lanka Temple is also a unique temple, with many Southeast Asian temple characteristics, is also a very representative Buddhist place in Sakyamuni, some requirements here need to be observed, treatment of clothing and some customs to strictly abide by.

I have complained before, come to Cambodia to see the temple, the biggest pain is that many names are not right. If it is not for the distance punched by Trip.com, and the picture reference of the attractions, I really have a hard time knowing. This temple was originally called the Lanca Temple. It was a big temple, but I didn’t see a monk. There are also very few tourists here. So I made a lot of feelings about being alone.

There are actually quite a lot of temples in Phnom Penh, but their temples are not as big as Thailand's majestic people. Lanca Monastery is a relatively large temple among many temples. When I came in, there was only me and another girl. The two tourists were very quiet. Later, a taxi driver at the door told us that the temple was resting today. It's really interesting. Is the temple here like a Chinese museum, there are rest days every week?

A lovely monastery in Phnom Penh, where meditation is free and open at least three times a week. The monastery is well preserved and is a peaceful place in a busy city. Be sure to come and experience it, remember to leave a little tip for the temple after each meditation (as is customary). Close to the Independence Monument is this colorful Buddhist temple. I came here to see architectural design. Cambodian architectural design is mainly influenced by the Angkor period (the second half of the 8th century to the 15th). If you are here on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and evenings, you can attend a free one-hour Vipassana meditation session.
