Western Market Review

West Port City is located near Central, near the Star Wharf. The second floor of West Port City is mainly cloth trading shops. It has a very historical sense. The first floor is mainly some fashion shops. The West Port City and the Binhai Walk are connected by a footbridge. From the West Port City, you can cross the overpass to the Binhai Walk. You can walk all the way to the Star Wharf.

The Westport City, 323 Des Voeux Road Central, Sheung Wan, was built in 1906 and listed as a statutory monument in 1990. The continental building attracts many Chinese and foreign tourists and is a popular choice for wedding banquets.

Hong Kong West Harbour City, 323 Devon Road, Shanghuan, was built in 1906 and listed as a statutory monument in 1990. The building was originally the site of the Ship Administration and later changed to Shanghuan Street Market. It has been a popular market for more than 100 years.

West Harbour City is located in the West Ring of Hong Kong Island. It has a hundred-year-old European-style architecture. It used to be the big stage of Hong Kong. It must have been a lively British gathering place close to Xiying Pan (now commonly known as West Ring). Now the building is no longer a grand stage and has been renamed as Xigang City, but the Grand Stage Hotel in Xigang City still evokes many memories. The young people's yearning for a wedding here is also a continuation of the old Hong Kong complex. What's more, besides the hotel, the old Hong Kong mood and the desserts, there are also famous flower cloth Street on the second floor. The old buildings are beautifully decorated with all kinds of flower cloth. Very distinctive places are worth visiting.

Passing through Shanghuan, I saw this historic building of English red brick. I always wondered what it was. Today, I got off at Shanghuan General Station by dining. Just next to it, I went in and explored it. Only when I got to know its 100-year history, it was built in 1906 and belonged to Edwardian-style building. The building was originally the site of the headquarters of the Shipping Department, then the market. It has now been transformed into a traditional arts and crafts centre with Hong Kong characteristics. The first floor is a dessert shop and a specialty boutique, the second floor is a cloth market, and the third floor is a restaurant-grand stage restaurant.

In Hong Kong's blurred night, the West Harbor City seems not to be a place for shopping and dining, but an Edwardian castle with a story of nutcrackers on it. You can go into the English telephone booth and call Santa Claus under the guard's guard. Near the Sindh Center and the West Kowloon Coastal Corridor, standing on the footbridge, this red brick building on the coast shows the soft light of red, yellow and blue, which has the charm of fairy tales.

Situated near Central, Xigang City is a century-old market. It used to be a big stage. Its English name is western market. Many bus terminals from Causeway Bay get off here. Brick-red buildings are striking. The three-storey buildings in Xigang City have a Western style. There are also many cloth shops in it. The environment is quite retro.
