Zhaojue Temple Review

Chengdu Zhaojue Temple is located at No. 333 Zhaoqing Road, Chenghua District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, covering an area of about 150 mu, built in the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty, and has been a national key Buddhist monastery for 1,400 years. The main buildings are: Shanmen, Octagon Pavilion, Temple of Heavenly Kings, Xianjuetang, Yuanjuetang, Yushulou, Guanyin Pavilion, Yuanpantang, Tibetan Jinglou and Yuanwu Zen Master Cemetery, etc., which are large and spectacular.

The sad reminder of 2022 has finally passed, and the new year 2023 has finally come. On New Year's Day, I squatted at home until the afternoon. I still want to come out and stroll. I thought that I hadn't been to Zhaojue Temple for a long time. I decided to come and worship and ask for peace. The whole temple is under construction, a bit messy, but there are still a lot of people coming to incense, it seems that they want to come over to pray for the new year, in fact, the whole Zhaojue Temple is quite a shopping, slowly finished it still took more than two hours.

During the Spring Festival, I took my family to visit this super spiritual temple. There are many large and small temples in Chengdu. There are not many suburbs in the city. However, Zhaojue Temple, as a temple in the city, is known as the "first Zen forest in Western Sichuan". Tang Zhenguan Year (627-649 Year) changed to a Buddha Temple, famous Jianyuan Temple, It has been a long history. In 1919, Zhu De took refuge in Zhaojue Temple. The history is long and the story is long. As an old Chengdu person, from the parents of grandparents, they listened to them to say Zhaojue Temple. Every year, they went to the temple to burn incense and pray for blessings. It was really practical. Zhaojue Temple, close to Chengdu Zoo, is large in scale, covers a large area, and has many buildings. Most of the buildings were rebuilt in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Unfortunately, large-scale maintenance construction began around July 2023. Most of them have become construction sites. I look forward to going to 🙏🙏🙏 again after the completion of the maintenance project.

Next to the zoo, you can visit from Exit A of Line 3 Zoo Station and through the entrance of the zoo. There are prepared incense candles inside. Tourists do not need to bring their own incense candles. The ticket is free. The yellow fruit tree has a history of nearly a thousand years. Its name is Shubao Bei. The thousand-handed Guanyin image is in the side hall of Yuantong Hall. It is in and out of Guanyin Temple in Ningxiang, Hunan Province. It is a very clean place to feed pigeons and go to tea garden.
