Previously I raved about this place if daring to say one of the top three burger joints in Dubai. Alas last visit left a lot to be desired...haphazard service for a simple small joint, managed to get the order wrong although repeated by us and the waitress, patty of good quality but tasteless, cold bun slapped around last minute, poor and lukewarm fries and even with Entertainer vouchers still expensive. Huge competition in that space so frankly no USP.

A lot of attention is paid to its gritty urban decor with steel, graffiti walls, chains and high seating area. It has a locker, skater feel to it - I'm not sure which part of New York this is supposed to be though. Even the menus are cardboard I suppose to give it added edge that this place is low key and unpretentious. With all this attitude, some spotlight should come back to the kitchen. The burgers taste good but they are surprisingly small. My chicken burger with beef bacon was quite enjoyable. The fries were salty (which I like), hot and crunchy. The lemonade was the right balance of sweet and sharp. My wife had a cheese burger which she enjoyed but she didn't order fries so she was left pretty underwhelmed when she was done (so she tucked into mine!). We also ordered a whole pickle which comes quartered - good move. Maybe needs a bit of draining. Why average? There's a lot of burger choice these days. There's a lot of good places serving premium burgers very well with focused options. 3 burger choices that are very "classic" choices do not raise the bar but instead meet the market average. We paid 60D each which is not bad at all. Would I come back? If I was in city walk anyway then maybe. There's a lot of choice there. If I wanted a burger, I might look around first.

Went with my family to try this restaurant today. It was shocking. The burger is too small and not enough to feed my 7 year old son. The fries are McDonald's style, thin and tasteless, straight out of the freezer and into the fryer. Buns pulled straight out of the fridge, as they were served cold and placed on top of the burger. Ordering a "well done" burger and we got a burned burger! I just felt the food was really bad and my wife decided to get a sandwich from subway instead of eating at the restaurant. The manager was apologetic as I mentioned I was writing a review on trip adviser. To his credit, the meal was on the house but I still felt the community need to know that this restaurant failed the basic standards and had to get things right fast to gain people's respect and confidence!
