Capricorn Restaurant by Kata Beach Studio Review

My wife & I have enjoyed at least four late lunches or early dinners (including one takeaway) at Capricorn over the last week or so, and consider this restaurant to be a real "find" for us (we first stayed in Kata Beach in 2001, and have been here on numerous occasions since then, but had never before eaten at Capricorn until last week). The menu offers a wide selection of Thai and Western dishes, including steaks, pizza, and pasta (there is a focus on Italian food, with the gnocchi and spaghetti being particularly to my liking, but the Thai dishes are nothing short of fabulous...tasty and spicy, without being too hot to enjoy). Service is both welcoming and friendly, with the staff going out of their way to be helpful to my wife & me every single time that we have eaten there. The kitchen (which can be seen from some tables in the restaurant) looks immaculately clean and well-maintained. Last night, my wife & I asked that the grilled sea bass be served with red curry, and this was served to us as if it was the "Special of the House", beautifully presented, and SO enjoyable to eat! There are literally a hundred or more restaurants from which to choose to dine in Kata alone (without having to go as "far" as Kata Noi or Karon), but my wife & I have found a "Gem" with Capricorn, and look forward to returning many times in future as we continue to enjoy our extended stay in Phuket.
