I have been to Mangia Tutti several times and will return on each trip. The waiters are super friendly and accommodating. I wanted an item on the menu to be drastically changed and the server was able to get this done for me. One of the best meals I have had in a long time - the rigatoni and home made sausage. It is never packed with people - not sure why - maybe the time of day we go - it should be packed!! It is just a nice simple bistro where you can enjoy your meal and your company.

I'd passed by a few times but never gone in. I almost passed again, but my friend suggested we try it. The first bite of my ravioli far exceeded my expectations. I can honestly say it is the best I've had since I left the east coast and my Italian family there over 30 years ago. It was so much like my grandmother's that it almost brought me to tears. My friend ordered the sea bass which was served with a side of Brussels sprouts. I shared it with her never expecting to like it since I'm picky about fish. It was truly delicious. The atmosphere is simple and understated, definitely not fancy. The wait staff was friendly and very efficient. The chef obviously knows what he's doing. I worked downtown for years and never knew about this place. I wish I had, but now that I do, I can't wait to go back. I'm not sure why Trip Advisor has it named "New" Mangia Tutti since I didn't notice that anywhere. The sign and the receipt say Mangia Tutti.

We were looking for a location to get a quick meal before the Chinese New Years parade began. We were surprised that the restaurant was open at 4:30! We were the only people in the restaurant before the parade but the owner was expecting a full house after the parade. What a gem. The appetizers and the entrees were fresh, hot and home made. The pasta sauce tasted just like tomatoes are supposed to...definitely not canned! The oil and vinegar with pine nuts served with the bread was exceptional. My husband had the veal and I had the standard spaghetti and meatballs and both were large portions for the price. In SF prices and high but this restaurant was very reasonably priced. We would definitely visit again and we will certainly recommend to everyone!
