We had dinner at En Pluche with friends, its name indicates very comfortable chairs of 'pluch'. We could choose from a Land or a Sea 3 course dinner, without dessert. I like this very much as I am used to skipping dessert. As a starter I had a wonderful calf's tartare and the others had a ceviche, a Peruvian dish with fish, coriander and lime. The ceviche was great according to those who had this. In fact all dishes were really very good, personally I liked the slowly cooked beef / steak dish best. Also the wines were great, we could choose from many wines by the glass: we choose a pinot grigio, a gruner veltliner and a grenache blanc for those that chose the Sea menu, and I chose a delicious Dornfelder (based on a grape variety that belongs to the Pinot Noir family, a spicy variation). Also the service was excellent and very attentive. Overall a very enjoyable experience and a very good price / quality ratio for Amsterdam.

Excellent food and great service. We had the Sea menu with a great Austrian wine that was not on the list. Loved all of the dishes!

Delicious food, very good service. From the bread at the beginning to the cheese at the end. We had the "Land" and the "Zee" 3 course menus. The waiter explained in great detail what each course was. The cocktails before dinner were also delicious (although a bit expensive). I also appreciate that if you ask for tap water they give you a bottle of tap water without a fuss. Overall a great dining experience.

As a 'local' this is one of my favorite places to bring my wife, friends, work relations, anyone. The food is Michelin star quality for a reasonable price, the wine compliments the food and as a desert I prefer a good old G&T. My favorite dishes are the pork belly and the ceviche but the quail is awesome as well. Actually, all the dishes are awesome but these are my favorite. The 'open kitchen' concept is something they try everywhere but the chef in En Pluche has done an amazing job in mastering this. From the small kitchen behind the bar they are always in contact with the restaurant and it's guests. More than once we where surprised by a visit from the chef at our table who explained the course. Nice detail! Personally I like a good dining experience but this is also a good place to have a 'drink and bite'. Great cocktails and the sommelier will explain you every detail about the wine you've chosen. Tip for small bites and a drink: Ask for a place at the bar and watch them cook! Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant / bar to both locals and visitors of Amsterdam.
