This Japanese restaurant is located in Chinatown on George Street in Sydney and is a very popular restaurant. The restaurant is modern in decoration, but it also maintains Japanese characteristics and the dining environment is very good. There are many types of Japanese cuisine here, and snacks such as tempura, udon noodles, octopus balls are cheap and good, attracting many guests. The waiters in the restaurant are well-trained, warm and friendly, and give a good impression.

Mappen Noodle Bar: Basically, this is the only shop I think will not be embarrassed to eat alone. And the more spicy fish soba really TM eats, the more delicious it is!

Very common Japanese food store. Take the food plate and choose your own food, and finally check out at the cashier. The store's speciality is Udon noodles, but I think the various tempura and sweet sugar heart eggs are actually better.

I could imagine it's a best place for the students to hang out after school. The food was considerably great at this price range. For nice and easy meals and there are a lot of food varieties. I love their jap noodle bowls with egg and beef on rice. I lived in the Meriton at Kent Street and this place is one of my favourite lunch places during my stay in Sydney.

Great find in the centre of Sydney, close to the cinemas and World Square. Come in early but if not, don't be scared of the queue. There's a quick turn over so you'll find a seat by the time you have ordered and paid for your food.

There are quite few Japanese restaurants in this area. We decided to try it because of the line:). Choose your meal and size of serving from the large picture menu on the window. The lady at the counter will take your order which takes a couple of minutes to plate. They will give you a number if it needs more time to prepare. While waiting, you can choose other dishes on the self serve counter such as shrimp and vegetable tempura, takoyaki, tofu, fried dumplings. They also have cold dishes like salad, edamame, seaweed. No sushi or sashimi rolls here. After the check out counter, help yourself to tempura sauce, chili oil, garnishings, chopsticks, soup spoon and water. They have what they call the ghost chili oil, if you dare. Meal is delicious: soup broth light and tasty, grilled teriyaki chic my fave. Kids liked their salmon over Japanese rice, my husband liked the curry beef dish. Gyoza wrap steamed and browned yet stuffing is tender and juicy. Very casual decor-wooden tables and benches, g.i. roof sheets used on walls, for casual dining.
