Despite the journey getting there, it made a nice change to travel to the other side of the Tonle Sap River for a meal with views of the city. This new branch offers a deli shop downstairs with a restaurant upstairs where seating is available both inside and our. The whole place is very new and therefore spotlessly clean. We ordered an antipasto plate to start, which unlike some places in town came with sufficient bread to accompany the various ham, feta cheese and veggie delights. The central bowl of olive oil and balsamic vinegar was a little too small, but apart from that, no complaints. For mains my wife had grilled fish, which she thoroughly enjoyed until she found a human hair on her plate, but this aside, it was perfect. I had sauteed chicken with olives and rice. The rice didn't come immediately, but when I asked it arrived within a minute, so had been prepared but simply left in the kitchen. It was delicious. These were washed down with a couple of cold beers each, and then followed by an espresso, a freebee for the hair incident, but 2 would have been more appropriate as we were dining as a couple. After we got home we realised that the bill was short by $4, which was either the starter or 2 of the beers. However, as we were paying with some of the coupons we had acquired from the deli in the city the previous month, the restaurant was not left out of pocket. The only ones to 'suffer' were the staff, who would have got a slightly bigger tip if the bill had been higher. Overall, and almost perfect meal.
