Baker & Spice is about 100% quality in everything they do. There are several branches across Dubai and wherever I have been and whatever I have tried has been delicious. Great coffees, gorgeous cakes and freshly baked bread in addition to my favourite almond croissants ever! They offer lunches and dinners and have a selection of salads. The Souk Al Bahar Branch overlooks the fountains, at lunch time it is not too difficult to get a table outside and enjoy the view. I have not been for dinner but imagine it can get quite busy. Check the fountain times in advance, they are only on twice during the day and then every half an hour in the evening.

Egg-cellsnt breakfastWe enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Baker and Spice, Souk Al Baja, next door to Dubai Mall. The restaurant is light and airy and sits on the waterfront by Dubai Fountains. There is a very good selection of breakfast options, both healthy and less so, all at fair prices.

Baker & spice has been in Dubai for many years, there are five branches, the owner is also very well connected in Dubai, I probably have at least five friends who say they know him. In the restaurant where you can see the fountain, this should be one of the most economical choices. Although the menu is very simple, it is better than the ingredients. The vinegar for bread is Lebanese pomegranate vinegar, and olive oil is singleestate. Only a few olive farms can purchase it. There will be different salads to choose from every day. The main course is okay, not amazing. The coffee is very delicious! When you leave, you can buy some bread and roast nuts at their house. It is recommended to sit and watch the fountain just casually.

Had meals here a few times and the food is always great , service is pretty good and if you are looking for a view of the Dubai Fountain & Burj Al Khalifa, you can't go wrong. Does a great breakfast.

A business dinner at the place had mixed responses. Nice location and decent ambience. The menu was neat and fair. The food was okay, nothing over the moon. I had a chicken Caesar which was okay and a pan fried red mullet which could have been better. Service needs to improve as it was a little wayward.

We ate here whilst on holiday to Dubai mainly because the view of the Dubai Mall fountains was good. We were a little surprised at the menu choice but decided to stay and started off with a mocktail. I had a Mojito which was mainly apple and my hubby had a lime concoction which was a bit tart. My husband had the roast chicken which he said was moist and a salad with roast potatoes and I had prawns in batter with chips and a spicy mayonnaise. Whilst it was hot and tasted good presentation was a bit lacking. We both ordered a desert as this was a treat, I had the Almond tart and my hubby had the hot crumble which was served with a cold custard which disappointed him a little. The restaurant itself is located well and the staff where friendly and eating on the terrace outside was comfortable as they have air con units situated at intervals. Its a reasonably price menu and the view of the fountains is good, it means you don't have to stand in the crowd with everyone else.
