Filo Bar Review

This bar was literally 2 blocks from the place I was staying at. Stopped in around 5pm and to my surprise their was a quiz/trivia contest going on. The 15/20 people in the place were really getting into it ( having a great time ) and although I spoke no Hungarian it was quite fun to watch and try and guess answers. They have a fantastic craft beer/wine selection and the food that I saw go out of the kitchen looked fantastic. The bartender/server Sara was wonderful. Not only did she serve the whole place on her own, she still had time to converse with. ( in English no less !!! ) What a great, fun little bar I found. Will definitely be back.

We went for a few drinks and something to eat. I did not except much but I was pleasantly surprised. Nice atmospehere, interesting design, great pizza and cocktails, and the girl behind the bar was exceptionally nice and smiley. Will be back.

Dob Utca is home to some great pub's, bar's and restaurant's and Filo Bar is another fantastic bar we visited on the very impressive street. its a modern bar with nice furnishing's and decor with a cool serving bar and awesome lighting. We were here on a Friday night and the bar was very busy, we luckily managed to get a table were we ordered Soproni beer and we just chilled out with our delicious iced cold beer's and just soaked up the cool vibe in this wonderful bar. This is the type of bar i could easily stay in all night but with so many other drinking and eating establishment's here we moved on after our beer but we had a great time in this busy and popular bar. Very easy to locate by jumping the tram or metro down to stop Astoria were you walk over to Rakoczi Utca and onto Karoly Korut and onto Dob Utca were you will find this great bar. Opening hour's are; Monday to Wednesday, 5pm till 1am. Thursday & Friday, 5pm till 4am. Saturday, 6pm till 4am. Sunday, closed. A superb chilled out bar on a great party street and well worth checking out.
