Grotta di Santa Caterina Review

When I came to Siena, it was raining and I arrived at the hotel again, and I accidentally hit a small shop. Ordered t-bone steak, fresh and juicy, sprinkled with pepper, thirty-two likes! The pasta is not bad.

This is a good cake shop, the cake quality is good, the practice is delicate, the taste is strong, very good.

What a great restaurant. So quaint and authentic and felt like it was away and hidden from the other tourists. Had a great waiter and he recommended delicious dishes. Had the veal with fresh mushrooms and it was delicious. Definitely recommend the rice pudding for dessert it was outstanding.

Just happened across this place late one evening. What a find!! The owner/chef was a rider in the crazy Il Palio horse race back in the 1960s. He had lots of memorabilia from the race. Ordered the Florentine steak and was unable to finish it all. He was concerned that I didn't like it! Complementary prosecco to start, and some lovely liquer to finish! Staff was very attentive and food was all delicious!

We had, had a big day out and Siena was our last stop before heading back to San Gimignano so we decided to have dinner before driving back. After wandering around we came across this hidden little restaurant way down a narrow street. . Being a nice night we decided to eat outside and enjoyed our meals here and the service was good and the chef seemed to be in great demand to get his photo taken by other customers. Not a memorable meal compared to others in Tuscany but good food and service at reasonable prices. Worth a visit.
