Bar Melograno Review

This is a nice, unpretentious place with great coffee. Croissants also highly recommended. The staff were friendly and helpful. Best of all is the view. This is the furthest cafe on this stretch from St Mark's square and the view over the water is superb - unlike the cafes closer in which have vaporetto stops etc obstructing the outlook.

I've seen the other reviews of this café and could not disagree more. We visited this café/bar several times during our time in Venice. The location is perfect...just away from the crowds of St Marks but directly in front of the Grand Canal except the view is not interrupted by the water bus stops. The food and service we received was impeccable and very reasonably priced. It quickly became our favourite place to sit and watch the hustle and bustle of the Grand Canal with a glass of wine

This cafe is sitting down by the water just down from San Marco. The waiter was quite rude the whole time he served us and the food was average at best. Such a shame considering it's position right on the water. Best tip I can give you, save your money and spend it elsewhere.
