Notch 8 Cafe & Bar Review

The restaurant is only divided into what can be eaten and what can't be eaten. Fairmont has always been a fancy and unfavorable! Notch8 is no exception, and it is a eating environment. The drink is unexpectedly delicious, you can make an appointment for a drink in the future ✌️✌️

We were in town to watch the Half Ironman at Jamesville Beach County Park. Rode our bikes to the restaurant (3.5 km). The exterior looks like a dark bar and I was a little concerned but no worries. The interior was great with funky ceiling fans and art work. Breakfast was phenomenal. Two of our party had deep fried french toast with caramelized bananas and caramel sauce (justified by the bike ride). I had eggs Benedict with the sauce on the side ( just in case it wasn't great). No worries, it was excellent. Our waitress was very good until the restaurant started to fill up. It was Fathers Day. At that point getting our bill was quite a wait. We decided not to wait to pay with credit as we had to hustle back to see our friends compete.

Happened upon the restaurant by chance at midday. Walked in the front door and after a few minutes was told to take a seat anywhere. There was a single waitress serving. She delivered a menu and I ordered a tap beer, Ommegang Nirvana, which was delicious. For the meal ordered a large Caesar salad with grilled chicken (the chicken was an extra). The food arrived about 20 minutes later. The salad consisted of a head of romaine lettuce, split in two lengthwise with the stem attached which had been grilled. There was a light bearnaise type sauce with some shaved provolone and Parmesan cheese bites (grated Parmesan put in span and heated). The chicken was grilled but dry and tasteless. The cheeses with the sauce were s good complement to the grilled salad. Waited for the bill. Probably would not return.

First of all, the prices were rediculous. It cost $100 for my family of four to have a meal. The food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the money. The waitress was nonexistent and we only saw her when she took our order, gave us our food, and took the check. I would not recommend the Notch 8 to anyone!
