One of the best places in the city. It used to be the children's part of the Gellért bath (there was a subway under the street that connected the two parts of the bath). It is a perfect place to have some drinks with friends, or even for a dinner, because their kitchen is great. The atmosphere is wonderful, since the tables are inside the old children's pools. And it is all surrounded by big trees. There are also open air movie nights sometimes. If you plan to have a dinner here, it's good to reserve a table, because it may be full especially at hot summer evenings. As far as I know it's open from May to end of September.



Pagony was formerly a public swimming pool for children and the owners decided to keep the buildings and pools and substitute the water with tables and benches. Just this makes Pagony worth visiting, the great burgers and craft beers only add to the joy. It's dog and child friendly, the menu is simply and the waiters are polite. The only reason why I couldn't give 5 points is that they did not offer/bring my dog water and the furniture could be more comfortable, but I would happily recommend it for an easy-going outing for friends and families alike.
