There are so many good things to say about Squirl, that it's hard to know where to begin. The finest, freshest, quality ingredients are prepared together in such clever ways as to create an array of the most delicious dishes, for breakfast and for lunch. Menu and outlook are diverse in nature and globally inspired: you can go vegan or vegetarian, or not. The variety of options is impressive. There are subtle hints of Mediterranean, Desi, Southeast Asian, and Latin American influences in the preparation, and no matter what you order, you will be surprised by how good it tastes and how healthy it is. And as soon as you finish, you will probably want more. The only challenge, really, is making a choice, because everything on the menu, sounds, and is, exquisite. Therefore, whether hipster or not, which is irrelevant given how exceptionally good the food here is, your best bet is to go with a group of family or friends, order as many dishes as you think you can handle, and then share in the enjoyment. But do save room for the desserts, because they, too, are divine! The service is pleasant, the prices reasonable, exceptional really, given the quantity and the quality, and if the view or the neighborhood have not yet upped and come, well, let's just celebrate how refreshing that actually is, because we know it probably won't last. Jessica K., the owner/chef of Sqirl, is multi-talented and really, really knows her food. Apparently she has another dining establishment on the horizon, too. Lucky for us!
