Xujiashan Park is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with undulating mountains, lush trees and fresh air. It is an artificial forest park that has been maintained for many years. In the summer of 1942, Chiang Kai-shek inspected Lanzhou and ordered the greening of the two mountains in the north and south of the city, and selected Xujia Mountain as the test site, prepared the land and planted trees, and erected a stele inscribed on the peak of the mountain. The stele still exists today. There are more than 100 species of trees in the mountains, donated by domestic and overseas, and more than 300,000 trees are all artificially planted. Under the red willow ridge is the "China-Japan Friendship Memorial Forest" jointly built by the "Green Envoy to Tang Dynasty" tree-planting delegation from Kagoshima City, Japan, and Lanzhou citizens. In addition, there are also scenic spots such as "March 8th" Memorial Forest, Lansheng Tower, Xiangliu Pavilion and Xiangliu Wild Fun. All kinds of small wild animals appear in the forest, including more than 20 kinds of Mongolian rabbits, squirrels, pheasants, etc., which have become the unique landscape of the forest park. In the park, there are also forest cabins, Tingtao Garden, BBQ garden, camping village, racing track, Xinghua Village, Bixiu Garden, Yihe Senior Apartment, etc. for tourists.
