We arrived from the airport very late at night, around 11 p.m., and were concerned that we would not be able to get anything to eat. Nonetheless, the staff happy to serve all seven of us. The food was delicious and, although we thought the service was rather slow, we soon learned that this is the Roman way! Although we didn't eat there again during our stay, we often nipped in for a late night coffee or glass of wine after a hard evening slogging round the sights of Rome. The staff were lovely and had a great sense of humour, even judging our ''who bought the worst fridge magnet competition''.
Ever want to have Rome to yourself? Here, you will experience the fruits of her land in the company of the residents of "Montemario", one of the 7 hills of Rome! At this sitting I enjoyed the regional speciality in the form of Mezzamaniche alla "Gricia" con ricotta di Bufala. A very savoury dish, that provided an alternative to the traditional dishes of Carbonara, and Cacio e Pepe. At M & G, there is a nice selection of turf and surf dishes that will demonstrate that the chef can cook more than your classic Roman carbohydrates. While on the subject of comfort carbs, don't hesitate to explore the wide selection of bruschette, focacce (seasoned pizza breads), Bianche (white pizzas), and Rosse (red pizzas). Prices are extremely fair, and the ambiance is a massive "plus". To conclude, if you're in the area, M & G comes recommended.
Restaurant is located in a hotel, so convenient particularly if you arrive following a late flight, was very happy with both the service and the pizza the first night so decided to return on second night. Can only say it was a mistake, extremely disappointing service and very poor food, over cooked and bland.
It's a very high-end restaurant, even desserts are very high-end kind, of course, the consumption of the place is naturally up, I especially like the restaurant atmosphere, and the music played here.
