What people are saying:

The Temple of Portunus is diagonally across from the Mouth of Truth, on the Bull-slaughter Square. There are actually three ruins in the entire bull-slaughtering square, one is the round temple of Hercules the victor, one is the rectangular temple of Portolus, and the other is the fountain in front of the two temples. Portolus is the patron saint of keys, locks and warehouses in Rome. It is also known as the god of river ports. This temple was built around 100 BC, and it is still well preserved.
