Redwoods – Whakarewarewa Forest Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
The redwoods in New Zealand aren’t as big as those in California but if you’re in the area definitely go by and see them. They have built bridges in the canopy and it puts me in mind of the Ewok Village from Star Wars. You can also walk the trails or rent a bicycle and enjoy the area. This is another nice place in New Zealand where you can get outdoors and just enjoy nature!

Timeless tranquility in nature's embrace
Embracing the feeling of being a little dwarf in the midst of towering redwoods adds a whimsical touch to the experience.
Looking at the majestic trees has a calming effect, inviting a sense of tranquility and connection with nature. It's wonderful how nature's grandeur can bring a soothing presence and a moment of peace.
As I gaze upon the colossal redwoods, their ancient presence instills a profound calmness within me. The gentle rustling of leaves and the towering giants create a sanctuary, momentarily easing the hustle of life. In their shade, I find solace, a refuge where worries dissipate, and the world slows down, allowing me to simply be, embraced by the serenity of nature.
Plus!!!The tree walk amidst the redwoods must have been a mesmerizing journey. Strolling through the elevated pathways, surrounded by the giants of the forest, adds a magical dimension to the experience. The intertwining branches, filtered sunlight, and the sway of the canopy create a captivating ambiance.
Price : priceless treasures
To visit the redwoods in Auckland, you can head to the Whakarewarewa Forest, also known as the Redwoods Forest. It's located about 5 kilometers southeast of the city center.

Wonderful sight of redwood trees and forests with different levels of distance and challenges for various groups and ages. The majestic redwood trees standing tall and strong in the forest signifies the connectedness of the redwood trees underground as they do not have big roots. Instead, the roots are connected underground to support one another resulting in their growth.

Lake Rotorua Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Situated at New Zealand North Island.. Lake Rotorua. Waiotapu thermal wonderland is around 27km away from Rotorua. I drive here, smooth traffic ample of parking places. There of a lot of thing to see, including Champagne Pool, Mud pool- the largest mud pool in new Zealand, the devil pool and lady knox geyser. For the lady knox geyser they got timing for the show. The staff adding some powder inside, then within few minute this geyser can reach up to 10 to 20 metres. Fantastic colourful terrain impressive landscape smoke and hot spring smell. Opening hour I think is around 0800 to 1700, admission fee needed.
Rotorua is an industrial city in the north-central part of New Zealand's North Island. It is located on the south bank of Lake Rotorua, 221 km from Auckland. It is a natural hot spring, a Maori settlement and a famous tourist destination with a population of 54.
Lake Rotorua is a lake in the north-central part of New Zealand. The largest lake in the lake group of about 20 lakes covers an area of 80 square kilometers. It is here from our hotel crossing the road. When the sun sets, the whole When the lake was occupied by a group of seagulls, our whole heart was instantly cured. Those lovely little creatures, with their relatives, are the best gifts that nature has given us, and the purest life that we yearn for and return to nature.
Lake Rotorua is the third largest lake in New Zealand, with an area of 80 square kilometers. It may be the crater left after the volcanic eruption, 26 meters deep.
The geothermal activity below and around Lake Rotorua has continued. Geothermal steam continues to linger around the lake, and the sulfur content in the lake is high, thus forming a magical green-blue color. Strolling along the shore of the lake, you can see that the calm lake is surrounded by rolling hills and the curve is soft and connected to the sky. Everywhere you can see a large group of black swans swimming gracefully in the lake, and countless fat rainbow trout swims under the vast lake and becomes a tourist attraction.
This is a lake with lots of wild ducks, many seabirds and many swans. Compared with the mountain lakes in the South Island, this lake is really inferior, but the seabirds are very enthusiastic, and a little bit of bread is all around. So I still have a good time.

Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Wonderful Enriching Experience in Rotorua
Getting There - by car from Hamilton
Attractions - took the tour of Te Puia Thermal Reserve with a concert of songs, dance and, of course, the Haka. The tour took us through the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. and the kiwi conservation centre, ending at the geyser terrace where you get close encounter with steam and sulphuric mist from geyser eruptions. We'd love to stay longer but for the incessant rain 🌧️
In the traditional diet culture of the Maori people, there is a unique cooking method called "Hangi". Tasting a Maori Hangi feast and experiencing the authentic Maori style is one of the must-have experiences when visiting New Zealand.
Mouri's traditional pit-roasting method involves digging a hole in the ground, heating many round stones in the pit, then sealing fresh ingredients such as pork, lamb, potatoes, and sweet potatoes with leaves or tin foil, placing them on the hot stones in the pit, and finally filling the gaps with mud or leaves to ensure heat retention. After 3-4 hours of roasting, the pit-roasted delicacies that come out of the oven not only emit a hot and fragrant aroma, but also taste fresh and tender.
This time, we entered the Te Pā Tū Maori cultural village in Rotorua, watched the characteristic performance, and tasted the authentic Maori oven-roasted food in candlelight and music.
Friends from all over the world gather together, singing, eating, and drinking. At this moment, music is the bridge that connects different countries. Ariana, the daughter of a tribal leader, is talented in singing and dancing. Whenever someone mentions their own country, she can sing a song from that country, be it China, England, Wales, France, Denmark, Thailand, India, the United States, the Philippines... She's amazing!
Maori Cultural Village has the birthplace of the world famous Puhutu geyser, mud pool, hot springs, New Zealand national birds, kiwis and wood carvings.
mysterious, wild, passionate, deep, these words can basically sum up the feelings of New Zealand's Maori culture. It is said that the Maori came to the Pacific Ocean on this unknown land more than a thousand years ago and became the earliest indigenous aborigines in New Zealand. The essence of Maori culture is basically embodied in rich cultural heritage, including carving, weaving, and tattooing. Maori are also particularly good at using geothermal energy to cook unique local cuisine. In the Mitai Maori Cultural Village, you can basically experience all aspects of Maori culture!
I thought it was a special village. The result was a very modern place...
I smelled the smell of rotten eggs when I entered the door. There is a volcanic geothermal fountain here, far away. The fountain is gone. There is also a volcanic mud, a spray and a spray, this do not know the effect of the mask ~ do not see kiwi, go to see the fountain, the smell of rotten eggs is getting more and more concentrated, also spewed from time to time, quite spectacular .
Who did not play Lego when he was a child? Let's take a look at the real Legoland!
Legoland Malaysia The entire park is oval, and the park and water park are separate and can be circled.
Going forward is LEGO's miniature world. Here you can see the famous Asian buildings made with Lego. The landmark twin towers in Malaysia don't have to be said, as well as China's Forbidden City and Great Wall!
My Great Hall of the Taihe and the Great Wall, the structure of the building is still very carefully imitated, but the focus is on the front of the Forbidden City, there is a table, the above is a stupid dragon, and there is a drum team behind. There is a soundtrack button under each group of LEGO buildings. You can hear the sound of knocking and drumming with a click, which is too cute.
Look at Lego in other cities. All of them are stacked together by Lego, and there is no laziness. Singapore with a water-jetted merlion is also a familiar place.
When the weather is good, these Lego buildings with pools are really wonderful, worthy of a closer look, and feel like you have entered another world of dimensions. The
Star Wars Pavilion is another very distinctive pavilion in Legoland. Compared to other colorful projects, this looks more serious.
Of course, all the images inside are Lego. I was amazed when I entered. Restored a lot of classic scenes of Star Wars, whether it is a guard, a large flying saucer or a cosmic galaxy in the background, all come to life. Full of mystery in the dark atmosphere.

It cost me the most expensive entrance fee, an adult wants 32.5NZD, but it is worth the money. The geothermal park is actually composed of two parts, one is the Lady
Knox Geyser area not far from the northeast of the visitor center; the other part is located at the southwest end. Tourist Park's main tourist area (ThermalPark).
The order of the tour is from the SH5 down to the main entrance, drive for two minutes, marked on the map of the Waiotapu
Thermal Track, there is also a mud pool Mud pool, which is the largest in New Zealand. The main tourist area is particularly large, divided into large circles and small circles. It takes nearly 2 hours to complete the big circle. It takes 45 minutes to take the shortest route and only visit the main attractions. The
Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park is a miniature Yellowstone Park that has been formed by thousands of years of volcanic activity. There are three very interesting geothermal pools inside.
One of them is Artist's Palette (artist's palette). The
name is very artistic, and the real color pool that you actually see is also like a palette. The different colors of the stroke in the water are due to different trace elements. Green is from ferrous salt, yellow is from sulphur, orange is from sputum, and brown is from iron oxide. The Champagne Pool is the symbol of the Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park and a place for Wu Qilong and Liu Shishi to take wedding photos.
There are many volcanoes and hot springs in the North Island of New Zealand, and Waiotap is the most famous geothermal park in the North Island. Because of the volcanic movement, the groundwater here forms a natural geothermal hot spring, and some can even reach 100 degrees, so we have to feel the magic of nature. Let's go here on New Year's Day holiday, take the children to feel the magic of nature and witness the best nature!
Wu Qilong and Liu Shishi filmed wedding photos here. Rotorua is a Maori language meaning double lake. The city is full of hot springs and the suburbs are densely forested. The lake is bright, the mountains are blurred, the birds are playing in the water, the seagulls are flying in the air, the air is sulphur-filled, the hot springs are muddy, and the mud is boiling. Walk in the park to enjoy the Champagne Pool, Steaming Ground, and soak. Bubbling Mud, colorful pools, expansive views, huge craters, unique ladders of molten pulp. When I left, I encountered a Bugatti classic car activity, and the saliva flowed to the ground.

Blue Spring Putaruru Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Blue Spring, the world's purest water source
New Zealand's lakes and mountains are beautiful, but her rivers seem not so stunning; in the North Island, apart from the atmosphere that runs through Waikato, the most famous is the Blue Spring hidden near the region. The spring water of Blue Spring comes from the Mamaku Plateau, and it takes 50-100 years to filter to the surface layer by layer, so the spring water is extremely pure and clear and will present a heart-stirring blue.
Two entrances to Blue Spring
1. The northern entrance is on Whites Road, along the Te Waihou walkway, locate to Te Waihou (Whites Road) Car park, from here to the Blue Spring LOOK OUT is about 4.5 kilometers;
2. The southern entrance is on Leslie Road, locate to blue spring Leslie road carpark, it's less than a kilometer to Blue Spring. Both entrances have parking lots, where you can park for free.
Mountain hiking, accidentally entered Pandora planet.
Mountain hiking, accidentally entered Pandora and watched "Avatar" countless times.
I never thought there would be a place that fulfilled my dream of Pandora.
I, who always love to hike with headphones and listen to music, couldn't help but take off my headphones! Completely immersed in nature.
Birds chirping, insects buzzing, a few butterflies fluttering over the water, an unknown white bird gliding diagonally across the sky, and a few ducks leisurely passing by.
These scenes that seem to be in a painting or a dream suddenly appeared before my eyes, just like the Peach Blossom Spring I fantasized about in middle school Chinese class, as if I were watching a science fiction movie. This is not real.
I was stunned for a while and picked up my phone to take pictures and record, but more importantly, I wanted to imprint these scenes in my mind.
I stared at the clear and color-changing Qi blue water, the blue spring shining like a sapphire. My environmental mood reached its peak. Finally, I understand why foreigners are so passionate about environmental protection. If the place I love is about to be polluted, I will swear to defend the land I love to the death.
Before coming to New Zealand on a WHV, my stereotype of New Zealand was just grasslands and pastures, but as I explored deeper, I found that I love this place even more!
Blue Spring Putaruru
There is a free parking lot at the entrance. You can hike up and see the Blue Spring in about 15 minutes on foot.
A little life advice
We hiked up from the car park to see the blue springs. Along the way beneath the big trees, there were these beautiful words in the stones. Life is too short for trivial things. Cherish the moment before it’s too late :) #lifeisgood
The most vivid Blue Spring, do you have it?
There are many tourists, many Indians and Chinese. If you go to Blue Spring, be sure to walk into a corner at a downhill bend to see it. Almost no one goes there, but it is the most beautiful corner in my eyes.
