What people are saying:

There are many Maori cultural villages in the Rotorua area. Through numerous Maori-style buildings and sculptures, as well as geothermal fountains that can be seen everywhere, visitors are shown the long history and culture of the Maori people and the unique geothermal landscape of Rotorua. Oshinemtu, located on the shore of Lake Rotorua, is one of them. Walking into the archway of the Maori Cultural Village, the quiet lake is slapped against the shore, and the wreckage of the old canoe is leaning against the grass; the stable shape of gold characters, the eye-catching red and green frame + yellow wall of Maori style buildings are row upon row, and red wood carvings It is decorated in the meantime; the scattered large and small fountains are steaming hot steam, exuding a unique taste of sulfur ~ wonderful exotic style, which makes people forget to return.

    BEAUTIFUL MAORI VILLAGE.

It is a suburb in Rotorua and a living Maori village set on the picturesque shores of Lake Rotorua. Beautiful traditional Maori wooden buildings and sculptures.

    Interesting place

This is a real Maori village of today, rather than the tourist ones in the area. Home to St. Faith's church. Lots of evidence of the geothermic activity arouns.

Ohinemutu interesting area to walk through but be respectful of local people

We were with a tour group and our New Zealand guide is a Maori native and walked us to Ohinemutu village. We didn't go into the Maori church but walked by it, saw the many steam vents, different view ...
