Photos of Chinese Wooden-Type Printing Cultural Village

Experts have investigated the movable type printing technology in Dongyuan Village, and believe that its operation process is exactly the same as that recorded in Wang Zhen's "Nongshu" 800 years ago. The Chinese wood movable type printing cultural village and exhibition hall came into being on this basis. The main building of the exhibition hall is on the first floor, and the left and right wing rooms are two-story wooden buildings. There are offices, reception rooms, exhibition halls, and demonstration halls for the whole process of wood movable type printing. Dongyuan wood movable type printing is a known wood movable type printing technique that has been preserved and still used in my country. It has a history of more than 800 years. It can be called the living fossil of printing in the world. On June 14, 2008, it was announced by the State Council as an Intangible cultural heritage, on October 15, 2010, it was included in the world's "List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Protection" by UNESCO. The wood movable type printing technology here completely inherits the traditional craftsmanship of ancient China, and completely reproduces the operation scene of movable type printing, one of the four ancient inventions, which is the physical proof that movable type printing originated in my country.
